Julie Langton Smith MSc
Having worked in Sussex for 20 years, Harley Street 7 years and now Littlehampton, Julie has set up a private consulting room for clinical hypnotherapy, psychotherapy/counselling for individuals, group and business therapy sessions. She also heads the team for food, vitamin and general health testing using digital medical scanning equipment.
Julie is a naturopathic doctor who has worked for many years specialising in Bioresonance Therapy with an emphasis on food intolerances, a healthy digestive system and full health testing. Julie’s career started in healthcare in the late 1980’s with a little known therapy at the time called Neuro Linguistic programming, she continued her studies in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology (function, structure and pathology of the human body), advanced training in sports physio and physical therapies, (physio at the Horsham Rugby club) then progressing onto complementary therapies such as Kinesiology and Nutrition and Diet, Bio Magnetic therapy, homeopathy and acupuncture.
Julie acknowledged the powerful connection between the mind and body with regard to good overall health and therefore studied Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. Julie wanted to further validate her work by doing a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology and Consciousness Studies at the University of Northampton. This allows for a more mindful, spiritual and human approach to health issues bringing in a deeper understanding of some of the underlying reasons for symptoms ranging from IBS, weight, headaches, insomnia, cravings, back and joint pain for example.
An experienced practitioner who has lectured at the University of Westminster, Association for Fibromyalgia and the Association for Systematic Kinesiology. She has been featured in Health Sections of Spirit & Destiny, Best Magazine, Body Language, BBC and author of ‘Slim Now with Fish’, a booklet sponsored by Nestle and what was known as The White Fish Authority in the 80’s. Julie has also lectured in Anatomy/Physiology and Pathology as well as Nutrition and Diet offering accredited diplomas in these subjects. She has also worked in HMP Lewes as a counsellor to help the rehabilitation of prisoners back into everyday life.
Sharon O’Brien became a qualified hypnotherapist in 2010 and NLP Practitioner in 2013. She has always had an interest in complementary therapy and decided to become a therapist after taking redundancy from her corporate job. As well as practising as a hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner Sharon is also a Lifestyle Mentor, creating bespoke programmes designed to give people the confidence and tools to step up and and start living the life they desire. She says “It’s the most amazing feeling to see people moving from a place of believing they can’t do something, to a place that they not only believe they can, but they actually start doing it!”
